Hayley's Journey
From Receptionist to Optometrist Boutique Owner.
Hayley’s career in optics began over 15 years ago at her local village opticians, where she started as an enthusiastic 18-year-old Optical Receptionist. Her interest quickly evolved, leading her to begin a three-year course to qualify as a Dispensing Optician while working full-time.
But she didn’t stop there.
A drive to learn and a commitment to exceptional eyecare led her to pursue further training as a Contact Lens Optician, followed by a sabbatical year dedicated to completing a BSc in Optometry. She graduated with First Class Honours.
After seven years of study, unwavering determination and more than a few cups of coffee, Hayley took her next step. She left the job she had held since her teens to become Head of Optometry for an award-winning group of independent practices in Oxfordshire.
When that business was sold, Hayley knew it was time to create something of her own. Something that reflected her values of clinical excellence, personal service and true independence.
That something became CBTR Opticians.
