We work exclusively with independent eyewear ateliers, producing frames in small numbers using the finest materials and exceptional engineering.

These are not mass-produced or logo-led designs. Each frame is selected for its artistry, precision and individuality. Eyewear you will not see everywhere, and often will not see at all.

Our collection is curated with intention. Each year, we travel to Paris Fashion Week to meet independent eyewear ateliers and personally select every piece we bring back to CBTR. We look beyond trends and logos, focusing instead on craftsmanship, engineering, materials and timeless design.

Every frame earns its place. We consider how it feels, how it wears, how it ages and how it works with complex prescriptions. The result is a considered edit of rare, beautifully made eyewear you will not find on the high street, chosen for those who value individuality and quiet luxury.

Are your frames limited or exclusive?

Many of the frames we carry are produced in very small numbers, with several styles released in limited runs. We also hold pieces that are exclusive to CBTR or available in only a handful of locations worldwide.

Our focus is never on mass availability. Each frame is selected for its rarity, craftsmanship and individuality, ensuring you wear something considered and distinctive rather than widely recognised. A quiet members club of sorts, for those who know.

Absolutely. Every eyewear purchase at CBTR includes a personal styling consultation. In a calm, unhurried session, we consider your facial structure, colouring, lifestyle and how you want to feel in your glasses. Whether you need something discreet for work, expressive for evenings, or versatile enough to do both, we guide you with expertise and honesty.

Our role is not to sell, but to curate. The result is eyewear that feels natural, confident and entirely your own.

Are your frames designed for everyday wear?

Yes. Our collection is designed to be worn, but not limited to a single purpose. Just as you would not rely on one pair of shoes for every occasion, eyewear works best when chosen with intention.

Some frames are discreet and refined for everyday wear, others are designed to make more of a statement. Many of our clients build a considered eyewear wardrobe, selecting pieces that suit different settings, moods and moments. The common thread is comfort, balance and exceptional optical performance.

Can you accommodate complex prescriptions?

Yes. Complex and high prescriptions are a core part of what we do. As qualified dispensing opticians, we select frames not only for craftsmanship and design, but for optical performance at the highest level. Working closely with specialist lens manufacturers, we deliver exceptional clarity, comfort and aesthetics, even in the most demanding prescriptions.

We have successfully fitted prescriptions up to −22.00. Your vision is in expert hands.

For those drawn to rarer designs and exceptional materials, selected pieces extend into the upper luxury tier. We also offer a small selection of non-handcrafted designs from £250, maintaining the same focus on quality and considered design.

All lenses are manufactured in the UK and specified precisely to your individual prescription. Single vision lenses begin from £260, while varifocals range from £575 to £805, depending on performance and design requirements.
